Smart combined installation in limited space

Project Apeldoorn

In Apeldoorn, we implemented an integrated installation solution for 10 homes, with a focus on space, noise levels and ease of use. By cleverly combining the heat pump with the Burgerhout Elytra combined roof duct, we created a quiet, compact and practical solution.

In short

  • Location: Apeldoorn (Beatrixlaan)
  • Number of dwellings 10
  • Type project New build
  • Period: Spring 2026
  • Interested parties Dutch Heatpump Solutions (DHPS), G. van Dam Installation Company, Nikkels Construction Company, Burgerhout
  • Applied solution KRONOTERM Versi-i with the Burgerhout Elytra combined roof duct

The challenge

This project involved cleverly fitting installations into a limited space, without compromising on comfort or performance.

The combination of limited space, noise restrictions, and the housing design called for a solution that was both technically and practically feasible.

  • Limited space in and around the home
  • Iron around noise level
  • Efficient use of indoor space
  • Integration of installation into the roof and home design

The result

The chosen approach allows for the realisation of a quiet and compact installation, with a high degree of comfort and simple execution.

• Low noise levels (< 27 dBA)
Energy-efficient installation (COP up to 4.8)
• No extra pipes needed outdoors
• Prefab solution: quick and clear assembly
• Operation and monitoring via app

Residents will benefit from a comfortable, energy-efficient home with a user-friendly installation.

Why this solution

By opting for an indoor heat pump in combination with the Burgerhout Elytra combined roof duct, several challenges are resolved at once.

The system is installed entirely indoors and therefore requires no external components. When used in conjunction with the Burgerhout Elytra combined roof duct, no additional roof ducts are required. This keeps the roof uncluttered and minimises the installation work.

The installation can also be controlled remotely and works in a modulating way, which makes energy use efficient.

This approach is particularly suitable for projects where:

There is no room for an outdoor unit
• Sound plays an important role
Installations must be compact and easily integrated

Practical experience

With good alignment between the parties involved, both in preparation and during execution, a high-quality installation has been realised. The result demonstrates what is possible when engineering and implementation are well suited to each other.
